I love teaching in seminar, lecture, online and non-traditional settings. I have taught Harvard and UCSB undergraduates, high school students, and lifelong learners in the Harvard Extension School. I have taught great varieties of film, from the The Wizard of Oz to avant-garde classics and “slow cinema.” I love teaching the course “Why Do Movies Move Us? The Psychology and Philosophy of Filmgoing." I have recently enjoyed teaching two courses at UCSB: "The Selfie: From Caravaggio to the Present" and "Theories of Filmgoing and Mass Culture."
